GREENER BY THE DAY

Here’s a quick list of Roddan Paolucci Roddan’s strives toward sustainability since the creation of its Green Team.  Perhaps you can implement some of these in your home or business.

• Initiated RPR’s 1st Recycling program
• Held a Recycle Bin Design competition
• Placed Recycle Bins in every office
• Currently recycle approximately 1000lbs of paper each month
• Switched over to more green office supplies including:
  • - 100% Recycled paper for select printers in the office
  • - 50% recycled, FSC certified paper endorsed by the Rainforest Alliance for all printers in the office.
  • - 100% Recycled paper towels
  • - 100% Recycled tissue paper
  • - 100% Recycled, post-consumer, compostable, biodegradable coffee cups
  • - Cold cups made from compostable PLA plastic derived from corn
  • - Plates made from renewable sugarcane waste
• Modified server back-up system to allow us to shut down computers each night
• Encourage a “print-the-back” policy for all internal documents
• Initiated Green Mondays to raise awareness and offer challenges to employees encouraging them to participate in a more green lifestyle.
• Held 1st Annual Green Week that enforced a “No New Paper” pledge for the whole week in addition to other eco-conscious initiatives.
• Switched standard light bulbs to CFL light bulbs
